Are you passionate about leadership and developing others? In this role, you will lead our newly hired forest machine operators through our trainee program – from recruitment to fully qualified operator. With your forestry expertise and inspiring leadership, you will coach, support, and guide them, creating a safe and educational environment where our trainees get the best conditions for a successful career.

With us, the forest, the people, and the business grow.

We are now looking for a communicative and engaged manager for our trainee team within our Intrapreneurship business. In this role, you are responsible for our trainee program where you lead the education of tomorrow's forest machine operators while contributing to high safety, quality, and efficiency in the raw material supply in the forest.

As the leader of four work teams, consisting of approximately 15 forest machine operators at the beginning of their careers and three experienced supervisors who support them operationally, you have full personnel responsibility and a key role in creating a safe, efficient, and developing work environment. You work close to the operations and spend a large part of your time out in the field, where you coach the team and ensure quality in the training.

Here is a selection of tasks:

  • Plan and conduct the trainee program together with the supervisors
  • Recruit trainees in collaboration with the recruitment specialist
  • Lead operational issues and team meetings with a focus on safety, working environment, quality, and delivery
  • Follow up and evaluate the trainee program
  • Responsible for payroll and goal tracking
  • Handle ongoing personnel issues and develop employees

We offer exciting and varied work in an environment characterized by cohesion, team spirit, and an open climate. You work independently together with your machine teams and report to the Intrapreneurship Manager. The location for the position is flexible within our area of operation, and the role involves regular travel to the teams located in Tierp, Grangärde, Filipstad, and Vansbro.

Who we are looking for

We believe that you, who have the ability to engage and motivate others, fit well into this role. You are solution-oriented and thrive in an operational daily life where your forestry knowledge makes a difference. Your competence is based on a university degree in forestry or equivalent, as well as a couple of years of professional experience, preferably in leading positions.

Skills and qualifications we believe you have:

  • Ability to set goals and achieve results
  • Experience in leading training programs
  • Excellent communication skills that inspire and persuade others
  • A structured approach with a focus on follow-up and feedback
  • Good computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
  • Category B driver's license

What we offer

Here, you become part of our diversity-promoting work culture that helps you explore new perspectives and develop professionally. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to a more sustainable world, as we believe that everything made of fossil-based materials today can be made of a tree tomorrow. To keep you safe at work, we support your physical and mental well-being.

How can you apply for this position?

You can only submit your application to us through our recruitment system. We look forward to receiving your application by August 9th. Due to summer and holiday periods, we will start the selection process only after the application period has ended.

Depending on the position, you may be invited to our video interview tool and/or asked to take tests. Our recruitment process may also include other pre-employment activities, such as background checks, reference checks, and health tests as well as drug tests.

If you have questions about the recruitment process, do not hesitate to contact our Talent Acquisition Partner Linda Andersson via email: [email protected]. If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact Intrapreneurship Manager Charlotte Brodén via email: [email protected].

We are happy to answer your questions, but we would like to draw your attention to the fact that feedback may be delayed during holiday periods.
